Alana

I can’t stop giggling as we make our way down to the lobby, Ava and me. She’s got this big grin on her face, the one you see when you’ve had some great sex. She’s pleased and satisfied. I giggle again when Ava pops my ass, something she loves doing. When she tries to pull me into a kiss, I playfully reject her, but that doesn’t go over well. I’m pulled into a steamy kiss that makes us both want to go back up to the room.

“Love birds! Let’s get breakfast.” Jodie yells out from the lobby. Ava steals a few more kisses from me before we make our way, following Jodie to the hotel breakfast bar.

“I’d rather order an Uber to a nice restaurant, better than this crowded breakfast bar full of conference attendees.” Ava grumbles. I squeeze her hand. I understand why she feels that way, we can’t even make it to the breakfast bar without Ava being stopped for photos and an autograph. Ava groans when she has to release me to be pleasant to the fans.

“It’s fine Ava. I’ll go sit with Jodie and Beverly.” My breath catches at the sound of her name. God, I have to face her. I’m not even sure if I can handle the confrontation. I don’t want to see her. She hurt me yesterday and we could have talked this out. I didn’t know she felt this way and I feel terrible about that. I see them immediately at a booth. Beverly doesn’t look happy to see me, but she also looks ashamed. Jodie is sitting across from her. Does this mean I need to get my booth?

“Hi.” I say, feeling awkward. Jodie scowls at Beverly.

“Are you alright Alana?” Jodie asks me. I feign a smile. I’m so fucking uncomfortable right now.

“I’m fine. Actually, could I have a chat with Beverly alone for a moment?” Jodie slides out of the booth so I can sit across from Beverly, but she doesn’t leave. She just stands there, almost like a guard dog. I look over at Jodie, confused.

“Jodie?” I say again, but she won’t budge. Beverly laughs and takes a sip of her hot coffee. I can see the steam coming from her cup. Suddenly, I’m nervous. I don’t want her to attack me again. Beverly looks up at Jodie and laughs. Her eyes are cold and dark.

“She’s not going to leave you alone with me Alana. Don’t worry, I won’t attack you again.” I bite my lip.

“Why Beverly?” I ask her because it doesn’t make sense for her to snap to me.

“If you think I’m going to apologize, I’m not. This entire trip has been about you. Catering to you, making sure you feel safe, feel happy. I’ve barely been able to enjoy Jodie because she’s been worried about you. I want to enjoy my time not worrying about you.”

“Alright,” I say, “What if I go back home now? You and Jodie would be here alone, enjoying what’s left of the trip.
